Pressure Controllers

Pressure controllers can be electronic or pneumatic. Electronic controllers require AC or DC power and analog or digital electronic inputs. They compare the measured pressure input to a set point and provide an electronic output to a control valve or other device to bring to measured pressure to the set point.

Pneumatic controllers usually directly measure the pressure in a popeline or other vessel, compare it to the pressure setpoint, and provide a pneumatic output to a control valve or other device to bring the measured pressure to the setpoint. The pneumatic controller is often mounted on the control valve.

Pressure Gauges

Pressure gauges are used to measure and display pressure in pipelines and other vessels. The display is usually a round dial face which displays pressure in bars, inches, h20, psig, or other units with a pointer. Pressure gauges are also available with LCD or LED displays which can be battery- or line-powered.

Pressure Switches

Pressure switches usually measure pressure in pipelines and vessels directly through a pressure port. One or more internal switches are set to provide an electronic or electric signal when the pressure increases or decreases above or beliow the switch setting.
